Joanne Lee is an Associate specialising in complex fraud, asset recovery and private prosecutions.
Joanne draws on her grounding in financial markets and extensive advocacy experience to deliver effective outcomes for corporates, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.
Joanne began her career in New Zealand as a financial analyst at a Big Four accountancy firm, where she advised private and listed entities on traditional and distressed M&A transactions. She then spent six years as a trial lawyer at Meredith Connell, the Crown Solicitor’s office in Auckland. During this time, Joanne conducted jury trials primarily as sole counsel, across all manner of serious offending and regularly appeared as appellate counsel including before the Court of Appeal.
Prior to joining EMM, Joanne was an Associate at Kingsley Napley within their criminal litigation practice.
