Rhys is an Associate specialising in complex, multijurisdictional disputes, with a particular focus on fraud and asset recovery, digital asset disputes, and commercial litigation.
He has experience acting on high-value, cross-border matters, often involving time-sensitive and technically complex issues. Rhys has acted on matters concerning breach of confidence and business protection, as well as data security and ransomware attack matter.
Rhys advises a broad range of clients, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and in-house legal teams, on disputes involving fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and the misappropriation of assets. His experience includes assisting with applications for urgent injunctive relief, including worldwide freezing orders and disclosure orders, and supporting the coordination of multi-jurisdictional recovery strategies.
Rhys has developed a particular interest in digital asset disputes, advising on issues relating to the tracing and recovery of cryptoassets. Rhys undertakes a key role in advising on matters at the forefront of this developing area, combining a strong grounding in commercial litigation with an understanding of emerging technologies.
Rhys holds both an undergraduate degree in law and a Master’s in Law (LLM) from Swansea University, where he also completed his LPC and specialised in advanced drafting.
Outside of work, Rhys is passionate about fitness and is an experienced marathon runner. He’s also an avid rugby fan.
