Richard has broad experience in commercial and financial dispute resolution, regulatory investigations and cross-border litigation.
His practice covers a wide range of contentious commercial matters, acting for corporates, financial institutions and private clients on complex disputes across the UK and internationally.
Richard has developed his practice across leading private practice firms, in-house roles and private family offices, giving him a grounded understanding of the commercial and regulatory pressures clients face. He advises on matters involving sanctions, fraud, debt recovery and regulatory compliance, with a practical focus on achieving clear and workable outcomes. He has particular experience in matters where regulatory and civil proceedings intersect, advising on investigation strategy, enforcement risk and dispute resolution across the corporate, commercial and banking sectors. Richard currently practises as Special Counsel at Edmonds Marshall McMahon.
Outside of private practice, Richard serves as Deputy Chair of Trustees at a charity providing services to young people with disabilities and their families in London. This role reflects a longstanding commitment to the voluntary sector and informs his broader understanding of governance, equal opportunities and community-focused advocacy.
